Rebecca Hannah - The Art of Flex-Ability Weekend

22–24 October 2027 · OM GARDENS ViennaRebecca Hannah is coming to Vienna for a full weekend of backbends, flexibility and inversions. We’re very grateful to welcome Rebecca to OM GARDENS. Although so many of the people practising and teaching yoga are women, many of the best-known international guest teachers are still men. For us, it matters to give more visibility to women who have developed their own work, built an international career and have something genuinely valuable to share. Rebecca is exactly that kind of teacher.Across five workshops, we’ll explore Camel, Wheel, Splits, Dancer, Pincha, Hollowbacks and more. Rebecca’s teaching brings together yoga, mobility and strength work, with variations for different bodies and levels of experience. You don’t need to be especially flexible or already able to do the poses. Come curious and ready to learn more about how your body moves.

Friday, 22 October

18:00–19:30 Creative Vinyasa Masterclass

Camel, Wheel & Backbend Transitions

We begin the weekend with a 90-minute Vinyasa class focused on Camel, Wheel and the transitions around them. Spinal waves, shoulder mobility and strength work for the legs, core and upper back prepare the body for deeper backbends. We’ll look at how the shoulders, upper back and hips affect these poses and use props and variations where helpful. Expect a strong, creative practice with different ways to enter and leave Camel and Wheel, including preparation for drop-backs.

Saturday, 23 October

13:00–15:00 Splits

Strength-Based Front Split Training

This workshop approaches Front Splits through both flexibility and strength. We’ll work with the hamstrings, glutes, hip flexors, quadriceps and inner thighs using active, passive and isometric techniques. Rebecca will help you understand your own asymmetries and show you how to adjust the pose with props. We’ll also explore different entries and transitions, so the work becomes part of your movement practice rather than an isolated shape.

15:30–17:30 Flip Your Grip

Asymmetric Backbends

An afternoon of Dancer, King Pigeon, flipped-grip Lunges and other asymmetric backbends. We’ll prepare the shoulders, spine and hips before breaking down the grip and the shapes step by step. The focus is on using the glutes and upper back well, creating space through the shoulders and avoiding unnecessary pressure in the lower back. There will be prop-supported options, different variations and time to play with transitions.

Sunday, 24 October

13:00–15:00 Pincha & Hollowback

Strength, Control & Inversion Pathways

This workshop focuses on the foundations of Pincha and how they change when we begin to explore Hollowback. We’ll work on shoulder stability, core strength and upper-back mobility before moving upside down. Rebecca will offer wall-supported variations and different ways to approach the poses, whether you’re still building your Pincha or already exploring Hollowbacks. The aim is to understand what your shoulders, spine and core are doing rather than simply trying to hold the final pose.

15:30–17:30

Flying Cobra & Bow Variations

We finish the weekend with backbends that ask for more than flexibility. Through Flying Cobra, Cobra, Bow and Donut variations, we’ll explore how strength in the back body and core supports spinal extension. We’ll work progressively, with attention to the upper back and ways to create more length through the lower spine. This workshop brings together many of the ideas from the weekend and puts them into a final creative sequence.

Who Is the Weekend For?

The weekend is open to yoga practitioners, movement lovers and teachers. You don’t need to have Splits, Pincha or deep backbends in your practice. Rebecca offers different stages, props and variations throughout the workshops. If you’ve felt stuck in certain poses or want to understand flexibility training beyond stretching, this weekend is for you.

About Rebecca

Rebecca Hannah has been teaching for more than 15 years and has shared her work with students and teachers in over 30 countries. Her method, The Art of Flex-Ability, brings together yoga, strength training, mobility, contortion, dance and Thai massage. Rebecca did not grow up as a gymnast or dancer but developed her flexibility as an adult. This continues to shape her teaching: different bodies need different approaches. Her classes are precise, creative and playful, with a strong focus on technique and transitions. It’s not just about getting into a pose, but understanding how it works and developing the strength and control to move in and out of it.
